So you want to bring the whole family on holiday. As pet lovers ourselves, we are pleased to welcome indulged and friendly pets subject to negotiation. There is a $15 per night extra cleaning charge. Our neighborhood is well setup with dog friendly walking areas including the picturesque Karituwhenua Stream Walkway just across the road and off lead reserves.

Staying at the Wine Country Motel, Havelock North was a delightful experience, not only for me but for Sally, the trainee Assistance Dog that I was traveling with.
The first thing you notice is the friendly atmosphere and the “nothing is too much trouble” attitude.
The rooms were clean, lovely decor and spacious, big enough for a dog bed in the lounge and the bedroom with room to spare - this pleased Sally greatly.
There was a convenient grass verge just outside the gate for last thing at night and first thing in the morning, and just around the corner a park where Sally could run around and let off steam.

The hosts are amazing and super accommodating when it comes to your four legged family member. They also have great local knowledge of events, attractions and yummy food places.
